The Appeals Procedure

The appeals procedure is outlined in the Rules of Procedure (Article 24).

A body whose application for membership is not accepted by the ENQA Board may appeal the decision by writing to the ENQA Secretariat, specifying the basis of the appeal. The appeal should be sent to the Director of ENQA, Maria Kelo, at maria.kelo@enqa.eu.

The appeal shall be submitted within two calendar months from the date of receipt of the Board’s decision.

The Board will ask the Appeals and Complaints Committee to review the decision, and the Board’s decision on the appeal will be based on the Committee’s report. The Board’s decision on appeals is final.

The Complaints Procedure

The complaints procedure is outlined in the Rules of Procedure (Article 24).

A body that is dissatisfied with the conduct of the review process or those carrying it out may complain in writing to the ENQA Secretariat, specifying the basis of the complaint. The complaint should be sent to the Director of ENQA, Maria Kelo at maria.kelo@enqa.eu.

The complaint shall be submitted within two calendar months from the date of receipt of the Board’s decision.

The Appeals and Complaints Committee shall examine the complaint and undertake any further investigations that it considers necessary. The ENQA Board’s decision on the complaint shall be taken in light of the Committee’s report and shall be final and non-appealable.

The Appeals and Complaints Committee hear appeals and complaints against decisions and the conduct of procedures in respect of membership matters done by the ENQA Board
