ENQA Board reconfirms ARACIS and HAC membership

At its September meeting, the ENQA Board reconfirmed the membership of the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ARACIS, Romania) and the Hungarian Accreditation Committee (HAC, Hungary). The review reports and other materials relating to the reviews are on the Review Reports and Decisions page of the ENQA website.

In this meeting of the ENQA Board, several affiliate requests were considered. The ENQA Board welcomed the German Accreditation Council (GAC, Germany) and the European Council on Chiropractic Education e.V. (ECCE, Germany) as affiliates of ENQA – the two agencies formerly having been ENQA members. The Board also reconfirmed affiliate status for two existing affiliates – the Eurasian Сentre for Accreditation and Quality Assurance in Higher Education and Health Care (ECAQA, Kazakhstan) and the European Council for Theological Education (ECTE, Germany).

As per the revised ENQA Rules of Procedure (Art. 13), ENQA has introduced a revised application procedure for organisations seeking affiliation with ENQA. The procedure was introduced to evaluate and screen applicants with a lean and standardised process, to gain more information about the activities of ENQA’s affiliates, and to have a process in place to re-evaluate affiliates later in their affiliation (through re-application). Following the renewed procedure, all current affiliates will be asked to reapply for affiliation in the coming months.
