ENQA Membership Benefits and Services
ENQA is the main political actor with material influence on decision-making processes at the European level to deliver on the core values of quality assurance as enunciated in the ESG. ENQA offers services for members that help them to develop further.
Make your voice heard
ENQA represents its members at the European level and internationally, especially in political decision making processes and in co-operations with stakeholder organisations. Active participation in the Bologna Follow up Group (BFUG) as a consultative member forms a major part of ENQA’s policy making role. ENQA publishes statements, reports and policy papers in order to feed policy debates and make the voice of quality assurance agencies heard.
ENQA functions as a communication platform for sharing and disseminating information and expertise in quality assurance among its members and towards stakeholders mainly through publications, its website and the recently launched ENQA e-Newsletter. The Newsletter provides an additional platform for ENQA Members and Affiliates to share news on their national context, projects, or other activities. It also gives an overview of the latest developments within ENQA (events, publications, etc.) and its partners (e.g. the E4 Group), and policy developments at the European and national levels.
Nomination of experts for ENQA Agency Reviews
ENQA is in constant need to develop and update its pool of experts for agency reviews. ENQA gives the possibility to its members to nominate experts who would be interested in taking part in ENQA reviews as panel members.
Access to quality assurance advisory support
Providing quality assurance advisory support is among the activities mentioned in the ENQA Strategic Plan for the period 2011-15. In order to intensify and widen the reach and implementation of good quality assurance procedures in the EHEA, ENQA has planned advisory activities for countries where quality assurance procedures have not yet been/are being established. Advisory support is provided either on an individual basis upon request or through events.
Participation in and hosting ENQA events
ENQA organises events on relevant, topical issues in the field of quality assurance. ENQA events are hosted by its member agencies. They are an essential forum for dialogue and networking between European quality assurance professionals and stakeholders. They are usually organised in the framework of a project and result in a publication, which consist in a series of articles written by the presenters based on their presentation.
Involvement in projects
Through its projects, ENQA brings together the expertise of its member agencies and other related stakeholders as project partners, in order to engage them in a fruitful and continuous dialogue on the current challenges and developments in higher education and its quality assurance. ENQA projects aim to support the creation of informed policies, the exchange of good practices, the establishment and improvement of a common understanding on QA practices and policies in Europe, and thus furthering of a European dimension in quality assurance of higher education.
Involvement in Working Groups and networking with European quality assurance experts
Working groups have been set up to respond to the needs and interests of ENQA members, and to address topical issues in quality assurance. Members are welcome to take part in one or more groups.
In addition to networking opportunities offered by ENQA events and Working Groups, the ENQA membership is invited to submit and present papers at the annual European Quality Assurance Forum, the main European event in the field of quality assurance.
Free promotion of members’ events and activities
ENQA members may promote their events through the Associated Events page of the ENQA website.
Access to the Members’ Area of the website
Members are given access to the Members’ Area of the ENQA website where they can find the General Assembly minutes and annexes (General Assembly documents area), register to events (Registration area), and be engaged in the discussion forum (Discussion area).
Use of the ENQA trademark
ENQA members are allowed to use the ENQA trademark, represented by the logo of ENQA, as described in the Regulations governing the use of the mark (pdf) and the Visual Identity Guidelines (pdf).
