In 2019, five university centres of the Galician University System (SUG) that had recently obtained an institutional accreditation participated in the Pilot Program for Institutional Monitoring, launched by the Agency for Quality Assurance in the Galician University System (ACSUG). The aim of the pilot is to strengthen the transparency of the university activities in quality assurance, e.g. provision of information on the degree development; level of implementation of the internal quality assurance systems and how such information is presented in order to be useful for the degrees’ accountability; and to identify the relevant issues for the future process of institutional accreditation.
